Welcome

Every time your child walks through our doors, our heart is for them to be safe, cared for, and most importantly, growing in their relationship with the Lord.

At Calvary Chapel Chino Valley, we believe that kids are a vital part of the church today — not just the church of tomorrow. Our desire is to come alongside parents in helping their children grow in their relationship with Jesus, build a foundation on God’s Word, and learn what it means to live out their faith in everyday life.

Our goal is to provide a safe and engaging environment for kids while parents take part in corporate worship and Bible study with Pastor David.

Every lesson, activity, and event we plan is intentional. From Bible teachings to worship, crafts, and games, our goal is to create an environment where kids experience the love of Christ, understand His truth, and discover the joy of following Him. Whether it’s your child’s first visit during one of our services or they’re jumping into one of our special events, we count it a privilege to partner with you in pointing kids to Jesus.

Word

God’s Word transforms lives. We teach the Bible in ways that are age-appropriate, engaging, and applicable, so kids don’t just hear God’s truth — they understand it and can apply it.

Worship

From toddlers to 6th graders, kids experience Christ-centered worship through music and praise designed specifically for their age level.

Withness

As a Jesus People Community, Kids learn the value of godly friendships. Whether working together during K-3rd grade center rotations or joining special events, they experience true Christian fellowship. There are also opportunities for kids to serve, whether with their own classroom teacher, or in our T.E.A.M. program.

Witness

We encourage kids to boldly share their faith—inviting friends to church and learning how to be a light for Jesus wherever they go.

What to Expect

Classroom Availability
Our Kids Ministry classrooms are open during all regularly scheduled main services:
Sundays: 8:30am and 10:45am
Wednesdays: 7:00pm
Background-Checked Servants
Individuals serving with kids first go through a comprehensive screening and approval process. This involves completing a ministry application, meeting with the Kids Ministry Administrator, undergoing a background check and fingerprinting, and taking part in supervised classroom observations. Once the screening process is complete, servants are provided with training to familiarize themselves with the pre-approved curriculum, classroom dynamics, and safety procedures. Actively engaging with the kids, individuals serving in this ministry play a vital role in fostering a positive and nurturing environment for kids to learn and grow in their faith.
Secure Check-In/Out
The safety of kids entrusted to our care is of utmost importance to us. We use a digital check-in system, KidCheck, that ensures kids are checked in and out only by their approved guardians through generating a new security code for every check-in. Children are only released to guardians who present a guardian receipt with a matching code. If a guardian receipt is lost, a Kids Ministry Overseer will verify the guardian’s identity. If you would like to learn more about the check-in process, click the button below.
Special Events
Various opportunities for kids to fellowship and grow deeper in their relationship with God including Vacation Bible School, Overnight Adventures, and more!

It’s never too early to pour into young hearts the love of our Savior. These littles are poured into through worship, play time, and a brief devotion.

Growing in their relationship with God and their knowledge of who He is, alongside Bible teachings and worship, kids learn how to defend their faith through weekly apologetic lessons.
Pre-K
3 and 4 years old
Teachers guide children in learning how to talk to God by having them pray out load in a “repeat after me” style, while also receiving a teaching, participating in worship, and getting creative through a craft.
Special Needs

Serving in Kids Ministry

If you’re an adult interested in serving in Kids Ministry, we’d love to have you join the team! Visit our Serving page through the link below to explore opportunities and learn how to get started.
Teaching & Equipping Kids to Serve

We believe it’s important to teach kids the value of serving others and to give them opportunities to do so. Kids ages 10 and up can participate in our T.E.A.M. program (Teens Engaged in A Ministry). Through this program, kids can serve as classroom helpers, worship team servants, or tech servants, depending on their interests.
If your child is interested in serving, they can stop by the Kids Ministry office to talk with Bree, our Kids Ministry Administrator, who will be happy to help them get started.

FAQs

Is it ok to bring my kid’s friend/relative to our fellowship even though this may not be their home fellowship? And how do we help them sign-in?
Absolutely! We encourage the kids to witness to their friends and relatives by inviting them to come to church with them. Please note that you will use the same check-in/out procedure for guest/visitor kids. You can check in your kid’s friend/relative into their own respective classroom.
Is it OK to bring snacks or treats for my kid to share with the other kids in his/her class?
No. The Kids Ministry has been entrusted with the care and safety of the kids in our fellowship. More than 12 million Americans suffer from food allergies, 3.1 million are kids. Since food allergies have become such a prevalent issue of concern for our little ones, we ask that parents and teachers do not bring special treats for the kids. In the event of a special day or party, the parents will be given a list of approved/disapproved foods beforehand.

I’m concerned that my baby’s diaper may not be changed when needed; how do I know that he/she will not be left in a wet diaper during class?

As Kids Ministers we desire to take care of the kids entrusted to our care as best we can. In order to better minister to our kids and their parents, we check the diaper of every kid that is under our care during the service. In this, we will ensure that each kid will be handed back to their parent with a clean diaper.
What do you offer for those with special needs?
Room 206 is a classroom we have designed for those with special needs. The servants dedicated to the students in this class love and show compassion to these individuals while practically sharing Jesus. The servant to student ratio is smaller for this classroom than our other classrooms, allowing for a safer and more intimate learning environment.
